2020 General Assembly is being postponed due to the spread of new coronavirus infection.
2019
At the 2019 General Assembly, Takafumi Anegawa, President of TEPCO Research Institute at Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, was elected the President of the Association, as the incumbent President Shiga stepped down after eight years of successful service. 2018
We moved 2018 General Assembly to the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba and held it on 30th May. At the general meeting, the MEII representative spoke on the targets for the next generation low emission vehicles, which was followed by the reception, where the IEA reported on the latest Global EV Outlook 2018.
2017
The 1st General Assembly, after becoming a general incorporated association, was held on 31st of May, 2017. Seminar included a speech on EV/PHV Roadmap by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and another on building Virtual Power Plant by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy.
2016
6th General Assembly was held on 1st of June, 2016. Seminar topics included next generation vehicle promotion, future of connected cars, expectations in energy business and e-mobility, and CHAdeMO Europe activities.
2015
5th General Assembly was held on 8th of June, 2015. The Assembly included seminars on advanced technology for next generation vehicles and infrastructure, and on the V2H system.
2014
4th General Assembly was held on 20th of May, 2014. It commented on CHAdeMO being published as an IEC international standard and presented the association’s activities and achievements in the past year.
2013
3rd General Assembly was held on 22nd of May, 2013. CHAdeMO’s accomplishments for 2012 and new strategy for 2013 were presented. Included in the meeting was a panel discussion of “Expectation and contribution for the charging infrastructure promotion project”.
2012
2nd General Assembly was held on 22nd of May, 2012. Key achievements, including 1,000 fast charger installations, and action plan for 2012 were presented.
2011
First General Assembly was held in 2011, highlighting activities and achievements of the first year of CHAdeMO Association.
EUROPEAN CONFERENCES
The CHAdeMO Europe Secretariat holds annual Conferences around Europe.
2020
The 11th Member meeting was virtually organised on the 10th of November. Mr Anegawa, CHAdeMO’s President, presented Association’s new vision and mission to accelerate the realisation of zero-emission mobility by providing safe, affordable and interoperable DC fast charging technology.
2019
10th Conference was held on 22th of May, 2019 during EVS32 in Lyon, France. Commemorating 10 years in Europe, Takafumi ANEGAWA shared the updates on our history and beyond, while Makoto YOSHIDA presented technical updates and roadmap. Members were welcomed by Brice FABRY from Nissan Europe and Tomoko BLECH from CHAdeMO Association.
2018
9th Conference was held on 17th of October, 2018 during eMove360 in Munich, Germany. The meeting focused on CHAdeMO’s global developments and the strategy for the following year. New CHAdeMO members were welcomed and presented their companies and activities.
2017
8th Conference was held on 11th of October, 2017 during EVS30 in Stuttgart, Germany. The meeting briefly reviewed the CHAdeMO history and the recent activities, as well as the new initiatives in the e-mobility market.
2016
7th Conference was held on 19th of October, 2016 during eCarTec in Munich, Germany. The meeting brought together stakeholders from across the e-mobility market for a half a day exchange about the updates on CHAdeMO activities and the association’s plans for the coming year, as well as provided an opportunity to connect with new member companies.
2015
6th Conference was held on 20th of October, 2015 during eCarTec in Munich, Germany. The meeting focused on CHAdeMO activities overview and organisation strategy, including technical roadmap.
2014
5th Conference was held on 23rd of October, 2014 during eCarTec in Munich, Germany. Seminar themes included policymakers and municipalities sharing their experiences about fast charging and presentations from charging operators and adjacent businesses.

2013
4th Conference was held on 20th of November, 2013 during EVS27 in Barcelona, Spain and was an opportunity to introduce the new European Secretariat to the European members as well as to exchange and learn about fast charging. Presenters and participants actively joined in the technical discussions and learned about emerging business models around fast charging.

3rd European Conference was held on 19th of February, 2013 in Brussels, Belgium to commemorate the continuous growth of CHAdeMO charger network. The conference was organized to discuss charger deployments and regional case studies.

2010
First CHAdeMO European members meeting was held on 10th of December, 2010 in Madrid, Spain. It consisted of discussions on standardization activities and EV sales forecasts.
