This working group is established with the objective of strengthening the competitiveness of two-wheeler CHAdeMO by enhancing awareness and expanding adoption of two-wheeler CHAdeMO. It also aims to identify technical and operational challenges from the user’s perspective and provide recommendations for improving the current set-up. Promotional activities related to C2Bike (CHAdeMO’s EPAC standard) are expected to be integrated in this WG in the future.
Background
The global market for electric-two-wheelers and LEVs (Light Electric Vehicle) is expanding, and continued growth is expected in the future. However, at present, no de facto standard has been established, and multiple (private) standards co-exist in the market. Two-wheeler CHAdeMO standard has the advantage of having already been published as an international standard for LEVs under IEC 61851-25 (system) and IEC 62196-6 (connector), although its adoption has not yet progressed sufficiently in various countries. Against this backdrop, CHAdeMO LEV Charging promotion WG is established to plan and implement further promotional actions.
