CHAdeMO gave a lecture at one of the topic-based training workshops organised by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The session was part of a long training course that took place from 4 September to 10 October, mainly in the Tokyo area. In this training course, 9 people from 11 economies participated: Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Honduras, Kenya, Laos, Pakistan, Palestinian National Authority.
The CHAdeMO workshop touched on the present status of EV charging systems, bi-directional power transfer between EVs and homes/buildings/grid (V2X), as well as electrification of marine vessels.
After the CHAdeMO workshop, participants in the training programme gave following impressions:
・ The lecture provided a clear understanding of EV charging infrastructure and management, which is crucial for planning EV adoption in my country.
・ I will adapt the basic concept of CHAdeMO charging system when I go back to my country.
・ The lecture ended with an explanation of the features of a CHAdeMO EV. A very good lecture.
