Tomoko Blech talked about CHAdeMO’s interoperability testing centre project at the EV Infra & Energy Summit held in London on 1-2 October.

A UK market focused event bringing together UK e-mobility businesses and public authorities, it covered various e-mobility related topics including charging infrastructure, batteries, HDVs, as well as energy-related topics such as flexibility services (dynamic pricing, DR, smart charging, V2X, etc.), electricity prices and business models.

Tomoko spoke about CHAdeMO’s efforts for improving charging success rates through activities of the CHAdeMO Interoperability Testing Centre that was launched a few years back. She explained how the Testing Centre works, in line with  the Association’s mission of providing safe, affordable, and interoperable charging. CHAdeMO Association set up a third-party certification process over ten years ago and publishes certified chargers on its website. What's new with CHAdeMO's Interoperability Testing Centre is that the centre offers interoperability testing according to the car-side tests defined by the Association a few years ago and that the whitelist of charger-EV combinations that passed the interoperability tests is made available on their website.

She ended her presentation by the Association’s wish to share their activities and results so that a similar model can be replicated wherever appropriate.
