CHAdeMO Association has joined ECI (European Cycling Industries), Europe’s largest bicycle industry association, to further promote the CHAdeMO EPAC charging standard (named as “C2Bike”).

Through this membership, we are committed to deepening our collaboration with EPAC industry stakeholders and policymakers across Europe, while also working to expand the C2Bike standard.

Background

CHAdeMO is developing and promoting the C2Bike standard as a charging standard for EPACs and small LEVs.

A key feature of the C2Bike standard is its limitation of maximum charging power to 2 kW and maximum charging voltage to 60 V, which enables compact, lightweight, and affordable systems.

Furthermore, the C2Bike standard is designed to be compatible with existing EPAC batteries via a “connection adapter”, the C2Bike standard can offer charging solutions for a wide range of EPACs, including both new and older models.
